What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback, also known as EEG biofeedback, is a noninvasive method that allows you to directly influence your brain’s activity. By using real-time monitoring and visual feedback, you can learn to regulate your brainwave patterns and optimize your cognitive functions.

Neurofeedback therapy, is used to help teach self-control of brain functions by indicating to patients how their brains react to certain triggers. Over time, patients learn to recognize when their brain is in a certain state. Then, they can learn to recreate the desired state, such as relaxation, or avoid undesired states, such as agitation, in their daily lives.

How does Neurofeedback work?

During a neurofeedback session, electrodes are placed on your head to measure your brain's electrical activity, or brainwaves. These brainwaves are then displayed on a screen in real-time, providing you with visual and auditory feedback. The goal is to encourage the brain to produce more desirable patterns of brainwave activity while reducing undesirable patterns.

Through consistent training sessions, your brain becomes more adept at self-regulation, leading to improved focus, relaxation, and overall mental balance. Neurofeedback has been used to address a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, insomnia, and even enhance peak performance in athletes and artists.

What are the benefits of Neurofeedback?

Enhanced cognitive function

Neurofeedback has been shown to improve attention, memory, and decision-making by training the brain to enter states associated with optimal cognitive performance.

Stress and Anxiety Management

By teaching the brain to shift away from overactive stress responses, neurofeedback can help reduce feelings of anxiety and promote a greater sense of calm.

Peak Performance

Many athletes, musicians, and professionals use neurofeedback to fine-tune their skills and achieve peak performance states, helping them excel under pressure.

Improved Sleep

Neurofeedback can aid in regulating sleep patterns, making it an effective option for those struggling with insomnia or sleep disorders.

ADHD and Behavioral Issues

Studies have shown that neurofeedback can be an effective complementary treatment for ADHD by promoting better focus and self-control.
